Carbon Footprint

Everything we do in life expends energy and contributes to our overall carbon footprint. For many of us it is a common goal and belief that we must look for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and work towards a sustainable future. It is important not only to examine how we use resources, but also how we can create new resources.

The process by which window film is manufactured creates a carbon footprint much lower than that of manufactured glass. Should windows break, factory tinted glass is expensive, difficult to replace, and could ruin the desired look of the building if mismatched.

Unfortunately, to match factory-tinted glass, the builder must keep a reserve inventory from the original batch of tinted glass. Window film, on the other hand, is easy to match, install, remove, or change color shades to preserve the look of the building. Window film can also provide additional solar control properties not available in factory-tinted glass.
